Statement

Corruption and bribery affect all countries. We are committed to preventing corruption and bribery, promoting transparency, and strengthening our business partners and associated supply chains that are free from all forms of corruption and bribery.

This policy sets out our position and how we ensure our statement above.

This policy is owned and managed by the founders and is expected to be compiled in full.


What is Corruption?

Corruption is a form of dishonesty undertaken by individuals or organizations- those in positions of power. Corruption is an illegal activity- that entails a variety of actions, including dishonesty in financial matters, giving and taking money or inappropriate gifts, double-dealing, and so on.


What is Bribery?

Bribery is the action of offering another individual or individual within the business organization something of value, notably money, in exchange for something which will be beneficial to the briber that is not offered lawfully.


Policy

The scope of this policy and procedure applies to everyone in the business partners, associates, agents, contractors, consultants, and so on, and requires them to adhere when acting. 

The following steps are advisory precautions to our business partners, and associated supply chains against the corruption and bribery,

  • It is vital for our business partners and associated supply chains to have codes of conduct and ethics in writing, that most likely prevent situations that can create conflicts of interest. 
  • Education is key to alerting managers and employees where to look for corruption & bribery. This can be achieved by introducing mandatory training online or offline. 
  • A strong control mechanism in the organizations reduces the risk of corruption & bribery- so doing thorough background checks before hiring or promoting employees is strongly advised.
  • Encourage Whistleblowing in your organizations by protecting whistleblowers- their safety and security. This would help to reduce corruption & bribery further.

We outline the expectation  of  NASAQU in this policy that

  1. You will comply, and ensure that your business including its employees, agents, and subcontractors  comply, with the Anti-Corruption & Bribery Policy and with applicable laws and regulations.

  1. Where you have reasonable grounds to believe that there has been any breach of either the AntiCorruption & Bribery Policy you will notify NASAQU immediately.

  1. If NASAQU has reasonable grounds to believe that the policy has been breached,  NASAQU may:
  • suspend any and all Contracts and/or
  • withhold payment and/or
  • terminate any and all Contracts with immediate effect.

This policy also has the aim to contribute to the following  UN’s Sustainable Development Goal, every effort counts!
