We are the Natives of The Earth

NASAQU Policy of Responsibly Sourced Low Impact Material Use

Version: 1.0

Effective from October 2022

Statement

Greed and maximizing profitability is not our priority, protecting our planet as much as we can is!

We want to leave as small a carbon footprint as possible. In buying fabrics, to eliminate mining-farming, processing, and dying, we go for High quality unutilized, and recycled fabrics. Our choices of accessories also include recycled materials. We state that “first Mother Earth then Profit”

We are committed to growing sustainably by enhancing our status by including more low-impact solutions for the earth as we are NASAQU, the natives of the Earth.

This policy sets out our position and how we ensure our statement above.

This policy is owned and managed by the founders and is expected to be compiled in full.

What is Low Impact Material?

In a nutshell, these are materials that have a low impact on the environment and, create less waste and pollution, also have a reduced impact on natural resources in the textile industry.

What Is Recycled Content?

Recycled Content in the textile industry is content that has been made from pre-and/ or post-consumer material. Pre-consumer material is generally diverted waste from manufacturing sites. Post-consumer material is waste that is averted from landfills after use by consumers.

Policy

It is important that you comply with this policy to minimize the negative impact on the Earth while doing business.

Low-Impact Packaging:

Be aware of the following to comply which are the DNA of NASAQU since its birth,

    • NASAQU styles are delivered with 100% GRS-certified protective inner polybags.
    • NASAQU styles are delivered to our consumers in outer packaging, made of recyclable TYVEK fabric, and those can be reused for a long time for other purposes, such as bags.
    • All brand, size, and wash labels on the styles are GRS certified and produced with recycled raw materials.
  • All hang-tags in the paper are sourced from certified sources of responsible forestry  (FSC Certified) to do our contribute for protecting endangered forests.
  •

    Reduced Water Usage:

In our designs, we do not perform processes that require additional water use.

    • Stay away from processes that require additional water use in any way.

    Avoiding Chemicals:

We stay away from all applications that require chemical treatment on our designs.

    • Comply with OEKO-TEX standards and ZDHC compliances when you offer fabric and components to NASAQU at the design & development stages so bulk productions do not carry a risk of use of non-compliant materials.

    Recycled Resource Use:

Since recycled raw materials are more sustainable than virgin resources we require our business, business partner, and supply chains to

    • Use GRS-certified recycled content fabrics in all of NASAQU productions.
    • Use washing instructions, and size labels, hang-tags, and accessories that are made from OEKO TEX-certified and GRS-certified recycled materials.
    • Recycle the fabric waste and scraps generated during NASAQU productions.
    • We advise you to recycle all of your fabric waste & scraps regardless of NASAQU production, so you do your bit for Mother Earth.
    • Ensure that any Recycled Content used in NASAQU is responsibly sourced. Therefore you are required to present a Transaction Certificate for the input material procured.

Our Approach to Organic Cotton, Better Cotton Initiative

Virgin cotton uses enormous amounts of water. The initiatives to reduce the water consumption in  cotton farms during cotton production are highly valuable, ( organic cotton (GOTS and/orOCS certified)), or better cotton initiative),but  all still consume a good amount of water while growing them in fields.

We believe that giant fabric productions are done every year across many natural fibers but not used effectively in productions  which leaves the world having a high amount of great quality but unutilised fabrics in warehouses. Therefore we value those fabrics  most rather using any form of virgin cotton. We give chance to those unutilised fabrics in our designs by turning them into unique products.

As we are a brand with a variety of offerings we always  choose recycled content fabrics to enrich our designs alongside with the unutilised high quality fabrics.

We will do our best to get our brand’s growth in this way although we are not against organic and better cotton use.
